How to erase a tape that has been used by DataCenter (version 6/7/8) in the past, and then assign it to a scratch pool (to be used for new backup jobs to write to it). These instructions only cover DataCenter installed on a Windows system, and applies to versions 6/7/8.
The second part of the guide covers how to clear the database data held for that tape that you did erase to be able to place that tape in the scratch pool as an available scratch tape.
